Q: How is it with the price of the fair? Is the entrance for free or should I pay just for each individual meeting?
A:
You will pay for the entrance into the site. It is up to you whether
you want to participate individual meetings, presentations or other activities. Prices of
tickets are mentioned in “What and how should I prepare for Career Days?” section.
Q: Is Career Days supposed to be just for students of 4th and 5th year of university studies or for new graduates? Can the other students of lower grades take part as well?
A:
Career Days are primarily designed for university students of last
grades. The offers of participating companies are targeted to
these students. Of course, younger students can attend Career
Days too. The participation during Career Days can give these students
an overview of fairs of this kind. They can get valuable
information, employers requirements and how recruitment looks like.
Knowledge of these facts can be useful after few years, when these
students will take the role of job applicants.
Q:
I have already registered for individual
meeting with company. How will other operational matters be organized?
A:
Now all, you have to do, is to visit the room of that company right
before the beginning of your meeting to announce to the hostess. She will help to organize individual meetings. Companies don’t contact the
students themselves for reminders about their respective registration.
Q:
I wanted to register for individual meeting,
but all terms for all companies are allready full. Does it have any
sense for me to visit Career Days any more?
A:
Of course, it still has a sense to come. Except for the individual
meetings you can still visit the presentations of companies. You can
get valuable contacts to the companies also through other means.
Moreover the chance to join the individual meeting still exists, in
case some other student log off.
Q: What do the individual meetings include?
A:
Every company mentions rough description of individual meetings. This
is found in the company profiles. But what exactly the interview will include, we don’t know nor the students, till the day of the meeting.
It is similar to a real interview in the headquarters of a company,
when you don’t know how the interview will be managed.
Q: Are the dialogues managed in Czech or English language? (other language)
A: The dialogues are managed mostly in Czech language. Also international management of the companies are taking part at Career Days so your knowledge of English language (other language) can be tested too, to make the interview more interesting.
Q: Does it have any sense for me to register for individual meeting if I am not a student of 4th or 5thgrade?
A: To register for an individual meeting has some sense, just in case you are a student of 4th or 5th
grade. In case, you are a student of a lower grade, it is up to you, if
such a meeting would contribute to you somehow. You can’t count on the
fact, that you can get a job as a student of 2nd grade.
Q: I am a college graduate. Is Career Days designed just for university students and graduates?
A:
Of course, that you can take part in Career Days too. Basically anyone,
who buys the ticket can come to Career Days. But if you come to Career
Days to find a job, your chance to succeed is lower. Career Days are
basically organized for university graduates, where the companies are
intensely interested. In case you want to experience the interview and
find out what you can gain as a university student, you are
absolutely welcome.
Q: How are the presentations of companies managed?
A:
Each company participating Career Days has 15 minutes long presentation. Companies are presented by its personal directors or other
representatives in a hall of 350 seats.
Q: During the registration process, I came across a “Leave contact” function. What is it about?
A:
The function “Leave contact” is relevant when all schedules of
individual meetings by one specific company, that you want to have an
interview with, is full. After the click on “Add contact” all data
from registration is transformed into the database and can be delivered to the companies, so that they can contact you afterwards.
Q: Do you plan to organize Career Days in other cities too? If so, what are the terms?
A:
Career Days aren’t planned to be organized in any other cities. We try to offer the best to students. The best way how to manage it is to concentrate all the companies on one place. If you really want to work for the companies
joining Career Days, you have to come to Prague to join Career Days. We
realize, that it is more complicated for students from Brno, Zlin or
Ostrava to come for Career Days to Prague, than for the students from
Prague or surroundings. Therefore the students can travel to Prague thanks to the cooperation with České dráhy. If you pick up a voucher from AIESEC office with the valid stamp, you will get 90% discount on a return ticket.
